TIPS, TRICKS, & EXPERIENCES

ICU NURSING

After almost 10 years of ICU nursing & 1.5 years of acute care NP practice, I’ve decided to start a blog with tools, resources, & personal experiences for ICU RNS to better themselves.

GOALS

EDUCATE

I want to educate new ICU RNs on everything ICU I can think of.

BUILD CONFIDENCE

I want to build confidence among new/experienced ICU RNs with proper education, tips, and real life application.

REAL LIFE

I think the best way to learn is by case scenarios, so we’ll be applying things we learn to real life situations.

About Me

My name is Salley and I was a bedside ICU RN for ~ 10 years and am now an acute care NP (cardiac surgery ICU).

I’m originally from SC where I spent 30 years and now reside in Eastern NC.  Nursing was my second career, and I didn’t start my first nursing job until I was 28.

Nursing school was very difficult for me, and it was a huge transition starting my first RN job. I started this blog to help future, new grad, and experienced ICU nurses.

“Working with Salley has been so educational. She takes the time to explain simple nursing tasks to complex cardiac surgery topics”
